Tolerance and Adaptability of Tomato Genotypes to Saline Irrigation

چکیده
High salt concentration in irrigation water is often a limiting factor to tomato production Brazil. However, there limited information available regarding the tolerance of genotypes saline irrigation. An experiment was conducted protected environment using randomized block design with four replications. Treatments consisted 12 cultivated an varying levels stress. Moderate and severe stress affected plant height, transversal longitudinal diameter fruit, fresh mass, yield, number fruit per plant. Cluster analysis, stability, adaptability provided best estimates identify most adaptable genotype stress, Maestrina, Onix, Pizzadoro, Shanty being adapted moderate conditions. The were identified as stable under Sodium absorption increased salinity increased. In addition, P, K, Ca decreased which caused damage all yield components nutrition. Onix more tolerant effects irrigation, while Sheena, Sperare, Santa Clara, IPA 6, Dominador had lower losses

Response of tomato to irrigation with saline water applied by different irrigation methods and water management stratigies
In a field experiment the effects of irrigation with saline drainage water (seasonal average of 4.5 dS/m) and non-saline water (0.55 dS/m) applied by two different water management strategies (cyclic or blended saline water with non-saline water in different ratios) and two different irrigation methods (drip or furrow) were studied on growth and productivity of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum M...

structure. So, it is possible to achieve the salinity-tolerant genotype in plants through creating changes in the genetic structure and breeding activities. Tomato is in the group of plants sensitive to salinity stress. Distinct studies have been explained different indicators for tolerance to salt stress in tomato. Identifying a reliable indicator in the early stages of plant growth under salt...

A greenhouse experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of flooding on two tomato cultivars and two wild related species. Forty days old tomato plants were subjected to a continuous flooding stress of different durations: 0, 2, 4 and 8 days. Plant pots were placed inside larger plastic pots; they were irrigated with excessive quantity of tap water at 25C so that the level of water above...

In Ardabil region potato crop needs several irrigation, however ground water supplies arebeing exhausted due to reduced precipitation and intensive irrigation. In this research droughttolerance of 10 commercial potato cultivars was studied at three irrigation treatments (100%,80% and 60% of required irrigation water) in Ardabil in a two years field study, 2013-2014.At harvest, marketable tuber ...

To investigate better saline water irrigation scheme for tomatoes that scheduling with the compromise among yield (Yt), quality, irrigation water use efficiency (IWUE) and soil salt residual, an experiment with three irrigation quotas and three salinities of irrigation water was conducted under straw mulching in northern China. The irrigation quota levels were 280 mm (W1), 320 mm (W2) and 360 m...
